When you partner with Sanzuma we provide hands on support to help your district or school achieve its goals. Each school or community looks different depending on the priorities, values, and agricultural landscape of the community.
Procurement
We facilitate the integration of locally sourced food from nearby farms into large institutional cafeterias. This can also include designing and supporting the development of on-site procurement farms tailored to your location.
Education
We develop and promote educational programs focused on agriculture, food systems, health, and nutrition for children, adults, and seniors. In addition, we empower farmers with the knowledge to sell to large institutions, while guiding institutional buyers on how to source food locally.
Community Support
We build strong relationships between local farmers and institutions such as school districts, homeless shelters, senior meal programs, and state-funded preschools. Our work ensures that no crops are left in the field, and that fresh, healthy, locally grown food reaches the people who need it most.
