Sanzuma has a new board member that we would love to brag about

Lisa Baylacq was unanimously voted in on March 19, 2026
Lisa Baylacq is a community leader, food systems advocate, and co-owner of Good Earth Natural Foods, a beloved independent grocery store rooted in organic agriculture and community wellness. Alongside her husband, Al Baylacq, Lisa has helped grow Good Earth into a cornerstone of Marin County, known for its commitment to local farmers, sustainable practices, and nourishing food.
A true community champion, Lisa has played a pivotal role in supporting West Marin through her longstanding involvement with the San Geronimo Valley Community Center. Her generous sponsorship of numerous galas has helped raise critical funds to support programs and services for local families.
Lisa’s passion for children’s health and equitable food access led her to create an organic school meal program through Good Earth, providing thousands of students with fresh, nutritious meals. Her work has helped redefine what school food can be—prioritizing quality, sustainability, and the well-being of the next generation.
Through her leadership, philanthropy, and deep commitment to community, Lisa Baylacq continues to make a lasting impact across Marin County.
Sanzuma switched gears during COVID and donated everything we grew and an additional 30,000 pounds of produce that we bought from local farmers. The produce went to the most at-risk families we could find! From May 15, 2020 - April 02, 2020 Sanzuma has delivered 70,000 pounds of organic food to approx. 22,419 people.
Sanzuma has had a fiscal sponsor since 2015. We are proud to announce that we are officially a 501C3 (nonprofit).
We have one of the most amazing boards! We are very proud the introduce them to you in our about us page.
After designing and managing Community Action Marin's farm program for three years, they have flown the coop and are managing it themselves. Congrats to CAM for doing a great job growing organic food for your students.
